Create your own Dream Holiday destination in your home.  It could be in your garden shed, backyard, courtyard, bathroom, bedroom, spare room or even in the corner of your loungeroom.

Look at what you have around your home and create your own ambience.

Preparation is the key.  Make an appointment with Yourself  [ and your Partner and / or Friends ]

Get ready to recharge your batteries !

Checklist before you go on Your Holiday:

  • Clean the house
  • Put plenty of clean towels in the bathroom
  • Put the good sheets on the bed
  • Pre-prepare your meals & have them in the freezer ready to pop them in the microwave oven
  • Mix your drinks and refrigerate them and make up some ice
  • Pick some flowers that suit your theme
  • Scented candles or fragrant / essential oils
  • Have some chocolates ready to put on your pillow each night

Now just choose what themed holiday YOU want

Here are some ideas to get you going:

Tropical Holiday

  • Raise your sun umbrella
  • Play some holiday music
  • Surround yourself with potted Palms
  • Put on your bikini, sunglasses and hat
  • Have a jug of Cocktails or Mocktails ready to go in the fridge
  • Massage coconut oil into your skin, light a scented candle  [ e.g. seaside, coconut ] or      warm some fragrant oil
  • Lay back on your sunlounge or deckchair with your velour beach towel
  • Have the fan oscillating to get the breeze is in your hair
  • Listen to your water feature gurgling or move the fish bowl into your field of view so you can sit back and zen out

Escape to the Country

  • Put on your Sunglasses and Hat
  • Pack up a picnic basket along with a blanket & cushions or director chairs & foldable picnic table ready for eating inside or out 

Romantic Retreat

  • Give your bedroom a romantic makeover with rich, floral fabric cushions and textured throws and fluff up your pillows
  • Draw the curtains and light some candles or incense and string up some fairy lights
  • Scatter your bed with scented rose petals
  • Massage oil and hot towels to loosen your muscles
  • Champagne, glasses, bucket and ice
  • Chocolate body paint and brushes
  • Breakfast-in-bed trays

Après-skiing

  • Lean your skis and snowboard against the wall
  • Scatter your mittens, gloves and woolen scarf
  • Hot chocolate and marshmallows

Golfing holiday

  • Plus-fours, cap and gloves on
  • Putting green and balls at the ready
  • Club sandwiches packed and ready to eat
  • Golf practice net or Golf practice instructional DVD to improve your swing or download some ready to watch

  • You won’t have to cancel your holiday due to bad weather if you take your holidays indoors
  • No need for Holiday Insurance
  • You can choose who can or cannot go to your Holiday destination
  • You won’t throw your back out by carrying a heavy bag
  • No need to exchange currency

Now go and find your own piece of  “at home” paradise.

Make sure you turn off all electronic devices and pack a suitcase and live out of it until you  “ get home ” from your holiday!
